Kite
A wonderful sight
that caused me delight
'twas my white paper kite
in the unbrighted night.
It shone like sunlight
from its way, way up height,
so grand in its flight
in the unbrighted night.
When suddenly my kite
did give me such fright.
For it plummeted, quite,
and my cheek, it did smite!

I remember looking for kite poems that children could enjoy when co-authoring/illustrating a book on kites for teachers. sure could've used this one! Hialrious.
thank you!
my friend and I were playing around, writing poems, back and forth (as fast as we could. And the rule was that each poem had to include a colour, and this was what came out of me for 'white.'
